With many merchant houses dating back to the Edo period, the streetscape feels like a time warp.
A soy sauce shop that has been around since the Edo period, and a coffee shop located right next to the bridge, remodeled from an old house.
The shop is run by the 17th generation of the Ino family.
Sawara, a water town known as the Little Edo of Kawakita, is a place where you can enjoy the cityscape.
It was once known as one of the Three Little Edos of the Kanto region, along with Kawagoe and Tochigi.
Boat tours are also popular, offering a different perspective on Little Edo than touring on foot while taking in the cityscape of Sawara.
