🏮 Kawagoe | Tokyo suburbs | A little Kyoto from the Edo period

#globaltravel

I love this little Kyoto, which is only 30 minutes away from Tokyo! Kawagoe's century-old street "Kurazao Street" retains the full Edo style. Walking on the stone road is like walking into a period drama scene~

The must-visit clock tower is Kawagoe’s representative attraction! The bell will ring every time the hour is struck. The old streets around the clock tower are very easy to stroll, selling a variety of traditional snacks and handmade items✨

When we were tired from walking, we enjoyed matcha and desserts at 📍Changhoen. The atmosphere enjoyed in the old house was great; there were many delicious foods on both sides of the old street, and the eel rice and sweet potatoes we ordered were super delicious😋

Tips:
🚃 It’s super convenient to take the Tobu Higashi Line directly from Ikebukuro
👘 It would be more interesting if you wear kimono to take photos here

What I love the most is the leisurely feeling of walking slowly, taking photos, and eating slowly. Every shop in the old street is so unique. Here, you don’t have to rush, and you can slowly feel the atmosphere of the Edo period. , enjoy the simple small town style. If you want to escape the fast pace of Tokyo, come to Kawagoe!
