Tokyo's Cherry Blossom Heaven: Shukugawara 🌸✨

#cherryblossom25
If you’re in Tokyo and looking for the best cherry blossoms, Shukugawara is a must-visit spot! Just a 30-minute train ride from Shinjuku, this area has some of the most stunning cherry blossoms in the city. It’s a scenic spot with a river, small bridges, and even an electric train passing through, offering perfect views of the sakura.

Location: Shukugawara, 3 Chome-5, Shukugawara Bridge

From the subway, walk 200m to the gathering spot.
Walk along the river for about an hour, stopping to take in the views.
If you enjoy picnicking, this is the perfect place — many people bring food, and you’ll even find dogs enjoying the surroundings. The river, with its long stretch of cherry blossoms, is stunning under the blue sky, and the cascading sakura fit the perfect image of Japan's cherry blossoms.
Personal Recommendation:

Shukugawara > Nakameguro > Shinjuku Gyoen
Shukugawara offers a peaceful, walkable experience along the river with beautiful views.
Nakameguro is great for quick cherry blossom views while exploring the neighborhood.
Shinjuku Gyoen is nice, but only a few trees were fully blooming when I visited, so it’s not as impressive for sakura viewing at the moment.

If you're in Tokyo, make sure to visit Shukugawara — it’s a real cherry blossom paradise! 🌸
