Sunset Serenity at Wat Chedi Luang 🪷🌅

One of Chiang Mai’s most historically significant and spiritually powerful temples. Walking through the temple grounds, I was struck by the sheer scale and presence of the ancient chedi (stupa), which dates back to the 14th century. Though partially ruined by an earthquake centuries ago, it still rises proudly over the Old City — a reminder of Lanna history and resilience.

The temple complex is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with golden Buddha statues, towering Naga serpents guarding the stairways, and monks quietly going about their day.


What I loved most was the atmosphere — calm, reverent, and full of quiet energy. Whether you’re into history, architecture, spirituality, or just want a quiet moment away from the city noise, Wat Chedi Luang is a must-visit.
