This trip was amazing! 2 days, 1 night, Khong Chiam – Ubon Ratchathani

Day 1
We departed early in the morning for Ubon Ratchathani. We started our trip by paying respects at Wat Tham Khuhasawan, a scenic viewpoint overlooking the "Two-Colored River," a highlight of Khong Chiam. The view of the lime-colored Mekong River flowing into the indigo-blue Mun River is so stunning, we had to whip out our cameras and snap a bunch of photos.

Lunch was served at Araya Raft House, where the food was delicious and the riverside view was breathtaking. Then, we enjoyed a relaxing coffee at Mekong Memory Cafe, a truly relaxing riverside setting.

We checked in at Arjun Rim Khong Hotel and rested and recharged before continuing our journey to Wat Phu Phrao Sirindhorn, also known as the "Lighting Temple." Around 5 PM, we witnessed the sunset alongside the temple's glowing lights. It's a must-see!

In the evening, we returned to chill out with a barbecue on the banks of the Mekong River at our hotel. The cool breeze continued the delightful experience.

Day 2
The morning started with a stroll through Khong Chiam Market for delicious food, followed by a stop at Wat Khong Chiam to pay respects and enjoy the view of the two-colored river from another angle.

We ended our day at the lovely The River Cafe in the Tohsang Khong Chiam Hotel for a relaxing coffee before heading back to Ubon. On the way, we stopped at the Sirindhorn Dam Skywalk, a must-see highlight. The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for taking photos all day long.

This 2-day, 1-night trip from Khong Chiam to Ubon Ratchathani offered a mix of tranquility, nature, and breathtaking views. 🧡
