Koh Miang, the gem of the Similan Islands
If you are looking for a little paradise in the middle of the Andaman Sea, this is the place. “Koh Miang” or “Koh Si”, one of the most beautiful islands in the Similan Islands, Phang Nga Province, is ready to charm you with its white sandy beaches, crystal clear water that you can see fish swimming under the water’s surface, and tranquility that is hard to find anywhere else.
What makes Koh Miang so charming?
Hat Na – The legendary princess beach that is white, smooth, soft, and the water is crystal clear like a painting. It is perfect for walking, taking pictures, or just lying down and listening to the sound of the waves.
Hat Lek – A secret spot that is quieter than Hat Na. Walk a short distance along the nature trail and you will find a private corner with beautiful coral reefs for snorkeling.
Lan Kha Luang Viewpoint – If you walk to the top, this point will give you a panoramic view of the Similan Islands that is so beautiful that you will have to grab your camera every second.
What is the atmosphere on the island like?
There are no luxury hotels here, no cars, only the sound of the wind, waves, and nature surrounding you. Tourists who stay overnight will get to experience nature up close, with wooden houses in the park. and a camping ground under the shade of a large tree
Advice before traveling:
Come during November to May because the sea is calm and the water is the clearest
Book accommodation in advance because there are very limited numbers
Do not litter, do not catch coral, and do not forget to respect nature
If you like beautiful, quiet, and uncrowded seas, Koh Miang is one of the "good things that must be shared". It is truly an escape from the city to relax with nature in a way that you will never forget. I recommend it.
