Kokura Castle is one of the best tourist destinations in Kokura and is considered one of the top 10 famous castles in Japan for its completeness and scale. What's surprising is that there is an elevator to the main tower, so you don't have to climb the stairs, and all floors are modern exhibits and have restrooms, so it's very convenient to take your time looking around. It's easy to access and close to Kitakyushu City, and the Ninomaru, moat, and garden are all beautiful, so I definitely recommend visiting.
