[Kitakyushu Trip] Kokura Castle Garden Afternoon Tea

During a trip to Kitakyushu, I went to Kokura Castle Garden, which is a reproduction of a feudal lord's residence from the Edo period, located on the east side of Kokura Castle. In the "chisen kaiyu" garden, which inherits Japanese traditions, you can enjoy various seasonal landscapes while walking around the pond. The autumn leaves were beautiful at this time of year. I visited on a weekday, but it was crowded with many tourists from overseas. When I went inside, a very elegant and cute attendant guided me. I had afternoon tea, which is currently being held for a limited time, and I was able to enjoy a little bit of the flavors of various famous shops, and everything was very delicious. I also had matcha made in front of me, and I was taught the etiquette, which was a valuable experience. It was a little cold, but they brought me a stove and a blanket, and I was impressed by the very polite service. It was a wonderful place where you can feel the atmosphere of Kokura in the Edo period. Kokura Castle Garden 📍 1-2 Jonai, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture
