Kobe Atoa: An aquarium like a museum

Kobe Aquarium like a museum
Theater-style aquarium átoa

I went to átoa in Kobe with a friend around spring.

Just as I had heard, it was a beautiful aquarium with all the exhibits like works of art.

It doesn't have the experience of feeding penguins and otters that you would find in a typical aquarium, but the way it makes use of the characteristics of the creatures is simply overwhelming.

*You can feed the carp in the MIYAVI area! The food costs 300 yen and comes with an original fortune slip.

After enjoying the art, the cafe is filled with cute things and is very relaxing.

I recommend the otter cookies (330 yen each).
They look cute when you stick them in your drink straw? They're cookies, but their expressions are surprisingly realistic.

It's open until 8pm, so it's a great place for a date!

If you're visiting Kobe, be sure to stop by.
