The beauty of light and shadow! Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art designed by Tadao Ando

I went to the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, one of the largest art museums in western Japan.

Various exhibitions and events are held inside the museum, but the area around the museum is already beautiful and filled with art!

As you walk from the nearest station, you will gradually see more and more art.
In the park-like plaza, even the public toilets are part of the art.

As you approach the museum area, a huge object of a girl called "Nagisa-chan" appears. This is public art by Kenji Yanobe.

When you arrive at Nagisa-chan, you are already on the museum grounds and there is art everywhere you look.

The beautiful spiral concrete staircase is particularly popular. Everyone was taking photos of it from above and below at various angles.

The entire building is an inorganic exposed concrete space, and in addition to the natural light and shadow, the scenery of the sky, mountains, and sea are also part of the art.

The contrast between light and shadow is really beautiful, and there are many things to see, so it took me half a day to enter the museum.

If you go to Kobe, this is a must-see spot!
