Wakamatsu Park

#thingstodo
At 18 Meters high, life-size statue of Tetsujin 28 Go - 鉄人28号 as we know it!
Originally a creation of Mitsuteru Yokohama (1934~2004), creator of Giant Robo, published in Kobunsha's Shonen magazine from July 1956 to May 1966.

Dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Great Hanshin earthquake, this robot was erected in 2010 as a protective figure, as well as part of a plan to encourage tourism to overcome the aftermath of the earthquake, of the city of Kobe..

It's rather tricky where to look for if you don't know the neighborhood, as the statue is surrounded and consequently concealed in a way by the tall shopping mall buildings.

Look for Wakamatsu Park near Shin-Nagata Station (JR & Seishin-Yamate).
It's only 4 JR stops away from Sannomiya Station.

It'd be a good picture-taking, kinda nostalgic spot if you're in Kobe area, especially if you've seen the original Tetsujin 28 Go comics and stuffs.
