Kobe Animal Kingdom is the zoo that my mother likes the most out of all the zoos she has been to because it is mostly indoors and not hot (there is also an outdoor zoo, but it has big animals). Plus, it is air-conditioned so you can walk around and get close to the animals. It is clean and there is not much of a bad smell from the animals.

If you travel by train from the designated train station in Kobe, there is a package deal for entering the zoo with a train ticket (free round-trip train fare).
