Coming to Kobe and being a low-key traveler isn't bad either. Here's a Kobe one-day itinerary:

I often wonder what the meaning of travel is.

In the past, when I was working, my time wasn't flexible. Things I wanted to do always had to be put off, and some I forgot about while waiting. Later, travel became my job. I often booked a flight on a whim and lived a life where I could "just go."

I don't have any fixed travel companions.
Photography, travel, planning—these things are mostly left to chance.

I've increasingly realized that there's no such thing as a perfect travel buddy for me.
Everyone has their own life trajectory, time constraints, financial situation, and pace on the road. Everyone has their own rhythm.

Me? I'm like water. Whoever I'm with, I become like them.
I can be a whirlwind traveler, exploring a place in three days and two nights, or I can sit with blogger friends by a distant seaside, just to capture a single shot.

Until I came to Kobe. Although it was a short stay, I felt that being a low-key traveler wasn't bad either.

A glance at Ando Tadao's Green Apple, unripe and sour, truly represents the hopeful youth of the future. A ride on the Mosaic Ferris Wheel, standing tall by the sea, slowly and quietly watching a seaside sunset.

A glimpse of the distant Meriken Park, with huge cruise ships passing by, waiting for a grand evening fireworks display. As cycling teenagers chatted and passed by, as I stood on the rooftop watching the pedestrian crossing bustling with people, I felt like I was in a movie.
When I'm willing to slow down my once hurried pace, when I forget the ticking of the clock, when I enjoy the present moment, that's the essence of travel I've been looking for.
