The family decided to treat ourselves to a proper A5 wagyu experience while in Kobe, and after doing some research, we chose Kobe Beef Steak Restaurant Royal Mouriya for lunch. We figured—if you’re going to splurge on premium beef, there’s no better place than the city it’s named after!

The entire dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. Our teppanyaki chef wasn’t just skilled, but also generous with tips on how best to enjoy the beef. He introduced us to pairing it with wasabi—a small touch that made a big difference. The rich marbling of the beef just melted in the mouth, and the wasabi added a clean, sharp contrast that elevated every bite.

We sat around the teppan counter and watched our meal cooked right in front of us. Every piece was seared to perfection. The attentive service and elegant ambiance added to the luxury of the experience.
