Kobe's Hidden Cherry Blossom Spot in the Bustling City Center / Ikuta Shrine

Ikuta Shrine is located in the heart of Kobe City. From the west exit No. 1 of Sannomiya Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway Seishin-Yamate Line, you can reach Ikuta Street and arrive at the shrine entrance within a one-minute walk.
With convenient transportation access, the shrine's interior blends natural and cultural elements. In front of the main hall, there is a small fountain and stone lanterns, adding a tranquil atmosphere.
During spring, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the grounds are covered with petals. Benches under the cherry trees make it an ideal spot for picnics and flower viewing, making spring visits to Kobe highly recommended.
In one corner of the shrine, the "Ikuta Inari Shrine" features a red torii gate tunnel reminiscent of Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine, which has become a popular photo spot. Strolling along the "Ikuta Forest" path, visitors can also discover water fortune slips and a serene pond, enhancing the depth and enjoyment of the shrine experience.
