📍Hyogo, Kobe (15-minute walk from Motomachi Station)
"Mika Ninagawa with EiM: Resonating Aquarium" will be held for a limited time from Friday, August 29, 2025 to Monday, November 3, 2025 (national holiday) ✨
This exhibition will feature installation works by artist Mika Ninagawa and the creative team "EiM," led by Hiroaki Miyata, producer of the Expo-themed project.
The venue was "PLANETS" on the 3rd floor of the átoa building.
The setting was "AQUA TERRA," one of Japan's largest spherical aquariums. 🌎
Crystals scattered around the spherical aquarium
were illuminated by colorful lights, emitting countless sparkles. ✨️
Just looking at them sparkling was captivating. 💗
The moment when the crystals, butterflies, and hearts were illuminated with colorful lights was breathtaking. 💕
The gracefully swimming fish in the aquarium reflected the light, sparkling and shining, as if they were part of the light. ☺️
Another charming feature was how they showed completely different expressions every time you took a photo or video.
It was a space where you could lose track of time and just stare at them. 🫧
🛍The "átoa MUSEUM SHOP" on the 1st floor sold limited-edition merchandise, as well as Mika Ninagawa-related merchandise.
Another great thing about this exhibit is that you can take home the lingering impression as a souvenir. 💡
I collect Mika Ninagawa postcards, so I bought one too. 🥰
🐟atoa is an aquarium where you'll always find something new to be impressed with.
This special exhibit was so memorable that the word "beautiful" doesn't even begin to describe it. ✨️
It's only available for a limited time, so I'd love to go back again!
