✅ My Insider Tips
Don’t let rain or clouds stop you—the herb garden’s outdoor landscape is totally photogenic, and wet weather brings out the scents of the herbs and flowers more intensely! Plus, some of the architecture pops even on a gloomy day (the greenhouse is your rainy day bff). On sunny days, just take a chill walk and soak up mountain views, the scent of fresh rosemary and lavender, and snap close-ups of rare flowers and modern glass buildings for your feed. There’s also a Chinese-style pavilion that’s awesome for a quick break.

Getting Here:
Hop on the ropeway from Shin-Kobe station for stunning aerial views—it’s fast and surprisingly quiet. Wear comfy shoes if you plan to explore the trails; the gardens are big!

Food:
Try herbal-themed snacks at the on-site café. The lavender ice cream is a yes!

Pro Tips:
Bring a small umbrella just in case, and check trip.com for tickets or opening updates. Japanese yen is a must (cards accepted for entry).
