My Stay at Pimalai Resort & Spa: A Perfect Blend of Activity and Seclusion! 🌴activities, food

#summervacay
My recent stay at Pimalai Resort & Spa in Koh Lanta was an amazing experience, perfectly balancing diverse activities with peaceful relaxation.

The resort offers a fantastic array of daily activities (tennis, Muay Thai, yoga, meditation, massage, paddleboarding). I was particularly excited to discover "island tennis" – the sports center was always accessible, which was great. Since I only had a short stay (three days, two nights) and my main goal was to visit the nearby Koh Haa and Koh Rok, I focused on the resort's organized snorkeling tours. This meant I got more snorkeling time in the morning and could enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise in the evening.

The resort's yacht, a modern two-story vessel with good facilities, made the tours feel very personal, usually with only about a dozen guests and three coaches. This felt much safer and more comfortable. A huge advantage of the resort's private pier was that we were often finishing our tour by the time yachts from Ao Nang were just arriving. This meant we avoided the crowds – I noticed many other boats were packed with 40-50 people, and they had to travel for an hour or two just to get there!

Dining Experience

Pimalai has three restaurants, but I only tried the beachfront restaurant and the cliffside Western restaurant (which also served breakfast). Honestly, the food wasn't exceptionally outstanding; I'd say it was just "okay." However, the stunning views from both restaurants definitely made me more forgiving of the taste. The scenery alone was worth it!
