Koh Samui Love Legend: Hin Ta Hin Yai
Hin Ta Hin Yai is one of the landmarks that tourists should not miss when visiting Koh Samui. It is located on Lamai Beach in the southern part of the island. The highlight is the two natural rocks that look like male and female genitals. They were naturally formed and have become symbols of love and faith in local folklore.
Legend tells that the grandfather and grandmother traveled by boat to ask for a girl's hand in marriage for their grandson. However, the boat sank near Lamai Beach along the way. Both died and their bodies turned into rocks by the sea as evidence of their pure intentions. Since then, "Hin Ta" and "Hin Yai" have become sacred places and tourist attractions where people visit to ask for blessings for love and family.
In addition to the uniqueness of the rocks, this area also has a beautiful sea view and clear blue water, suitable for taking pictures, walking and relaxing. There are also souvenir shops, such as freshly made, sweet and delicious coconut jelly, a famous product of Samui.
Hin Ta Hin Yai is not only a viewpoint, but also a window for us to experience the culture, beliefs and local legends of the people of Koh Samui in an unforgettable way. #visitkohsamui
