The amazing sea in the middle of Mae Koh Island – Unseen Samui

Emerald Lake (also known as Talay Nai or "Talay Nai Koh Mae Koh") is one of Thailand's Unseen destinations, hidden within Ang Thong National Marine Park on Koh Samui. Its highlight is the emerald-green saltwater lake located in the center of the island, surrounded by steep limestone cliffs. It's a stunning natural beauty that seems straight out of a fairytale.

Traveling to Talay Nai begins with a speedboat or tour boat ride from Koh Samui, taking approximately one hour. Upon arrival at Koh Mae Koh, visitors must climb a steep 10-20 minute climb up a steep mountain. However, once you reach the viewpoint, you'll be greeted by a breathtaking view of Talay Nai. The vibrant green water of the lake contrasts sharply with the surrounding limestone mountains, making it a must-see photo opportunity.

Talay Nai is not directly connected to the sea outside, but small underground holes allow seawater to seep in, creating a unique and unusual natural saltwater lake. Visitors can enjoy the view from the main viewpoint and then descend a short distance for a closer, lower-angle view.

Talay Nai is a destination that combines natural beauty with tranquility, perfect for those seeking a more adventurous experience and a truly unseen experience. #visitkohsamui
