Exploring Koh Samui was pure magic! 🌴🐘 Chilling with gentle giants, hidden beaches, and jungle waterfalls made it a dream Thai escape. Here’s my ultimate 3-day must-see list for Koh Samui — get ready for elephants and epic island scenery!
Top Spots to Visit:
1. Samui Elephant Home 🐘
Address: 11/8 ม.5, Na Mueang, Ko Samui District
Respectfully interact with rescued elephants (no riding!), supporting ethical tourism and conservation. Pro tip: Wear shoes that can get muddy.
2. Lipa Noi Beach 🏖️
Address: Ko Samui District
Open all day, all year! This quieter west-side gem is perfect for sunset, swimming, and beachside chilling. Tip: Bring your own snacks/drinks as shops are sparse.
3. Paradise Park Farm 🌺
Address: 217/3 Moo 1, Talingngam
Open: 09:00-17:00
Nestled on Samui’s highest peak — awesome views, exotic birds, and petting zones for families. Get there early to beat the crowds and midday heat.
4. Na Muang 1 Waterfall 💦
Address: FXCR+W59, Tambon Na Mueang
Open: 09:00-18:00
Easy jungle trail leads to a refreshing swim spot. Tip: Mosquito spray is a must, and water shoes make it comfier!
Getting Around:
Renting a scooter is the fastest way to hop between these main sights — remember to carry an international driver’s permit and fuel up in advance. Alternatively, local songthaew taxis are affordable but less flexible.
Food Recs:
Hit local street stalls near beaches for Pad Thai, coconut ice cream, and fresh fruit shakes — cheap and tasty. For vegan-friendly eats, many beach cafes now offer plant-based menus.
🌦️ Island hacks: Bring cash (ATMs charge extra fees), pack rain gear (showers can hit unexpectedly), and dress modestly for temples.
