Koh Yao Yai is located in Phang Nga Province. To get there, we took a boat from Charoen Wani Pier in Phuket Province for about 40 minutes. Along the way, we will see Koh Khai, a famous island in Phuket Province.
Koh Yao Yai is a very peaceful island with beautiful seas and clear water. Most of the villagers on the island are Muslims, almost 100%. There are many beaches to visit on the island. The one that you must not miss is Laem Hat or the Maldives of Koh Yao. It is a beach at the end of Koh Yao Yai. It looks like a parted sea. You can see Koh Yao Noi very close up.
You can rent a motorcycle to drive yourself or hire a three-wheeled vehicle to travel around the island. There are also many hotels and resorts to choose from, ranging from homestays owned by locals to 5-star hotels.
