A Song of Ice and Fire

I totally get the hot spring dilemma in Iceland – where do you spend your money? Well, I just wrapped up my personal "hot spring showdown" between Sky Lagoon and Blue Lagoon (though the Blue Lagoon review is for another post!). Today, with my prune-like skin and numb feet, I'm giving you my hilarious breakdown of which one came out on top!
Sky Lagoon: Nordic Chic at Its Finest!
This place is the epitome of Nordic minimalist cool.
Location: Super convenient! It's just a 15-minute taxi ride from downtown Reykjavik, perfect for those of us (like me, a pro-procrastinator before deadlines) who are short on time.
Price: I snagged the Pure Lite package for €65 (includes towel + the 7-step ritual). It's literally the cost of a bubble tea cheaper than the Blue Lagoon!
Major Highlights:
70-meter infinity pool practically spills right into the North Atlantic! My photos look so unreal, like they're photoshopped.
The 7-step Icelandic Ritual: Sauna, ice-cold plunge, mist room, body scrub... it seriously felt like I was in a Game of Thrones scene, experiencing some kind of Daenerys rebirth!
Fewer Crowds! This is a huge win. Unlike the "boiling dumplings" scene you sometimes get at the Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon felt much more serene.
Stay tuned for my take on the Blue Lagoon, but for now, Sky Lagoon truly impressed me with its calm vibe and stunning views!
