The Great Whale Skeleton and Archaeology Finds
The massive whale skeleton in the main entrance hall is an immediate 'wow factor' that grabs your attention! Beyond the sheer scale of the natural history exhibit, the archaeology and ceramics galleries were surprisingly in-depth. They feature ancient pottery, trade relics, and a great overview of the colonial railway era in the dedicated locomotive gallery nearby. The museum does an excellent job of providing context, from prehistoric times to modern-day Sabah. A truly comprehensive look at the state’s long timeline.
