Croc Spotting at Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm

#johorbahruguide

If you’re anywhere near Desaru and looking for something a little wild (literally), Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm is worth checking out. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Desaru Coast, tucked away in Kota Tinggi, and it’s home to over 1,000 saltwater crocodiles, some of them are over 100 years old, which is kind of mind-blowing.

The place has a chill, old-school vibe. You walk along covered paths and peek into different enclosures where crocs of all sizes are just... chilling. Some are massive, some are tiny, and there’s even a toothless grandpa croc who’s over 130 years old just sunbathing like a boss.

The staff are usually around to share fun facts or point out cool stuff, like a mama croc guarding her eggs.

The whole visit takes about 30–60 minutes, so it’s a quick stop, but definitely memorable. It’s not super flashy or interactive, but if you’re into reptiles or just want to see something different, it’s a neat experience.

Location: Lot 1289 & 1290, Jalan Sembilan, Kampung Belading, Teluk Sengat, Johor

Opening hours: Daily from 9am to 6pm
