Greco Roman Vibes in Armenia

#summervacay Okay, I did not expect to find a full-on Roman-style temple in Armenia, but here we are, Garni Temple, sitting pretty in Kotayk Province, and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s perched right on a cliff with these crazy mountain and gorge views all around. Talk about dramatic.

The temple itself is super photogenic, tall columns, detailed carvings, and that whole ancient empire energy. It’s actually the only standing pagan temple left in Armenia, which makes it extra special. You can walk right up to it, chill on the steps, and just take it all in.

There’s also ruins of a Roman bathhouse nearby with some mosaic floors still intact. Kinda wild to think about people relaxing here thousands of years ago. And the breeze up there? Chef’s kiss.

It’s an easy day trip from Yerevan and honestly one of the coolest spots I visited. Ancient history + epic views = a win every time. Don’t skip it if you’re anywhere nearby.
