🍲 Value-for-Money Japanese Buffet at Shaburi & Kintan, Batam

We had a satisfying meal at Shaburi & Kintan Buffet in Batam, where diners can choose between shabu-shabu, BBQ, or go for both — which is exactly what we did. I opted for the sukiyaki broth, and it was rich, sweet, and perfect for the beef.
What impressed me was the variety of condiments and the thoughtful choice between fatty and lean beef — something I haven’t seen offered at shabu places in either Singapore or Batam. It caters well to different preferences, especially for those watching their diet.
Beyond that, they also served gyudon and Japanese curry, giving diners even more value for what they pay. Speaking of which, the price point was very reasonable considering the wide range of options.
The only downside? There were a number of flies around the buffet area, which did raise some hygiene concerns. Understandably, this can happen even in malls in Indonesia, but still something they could improve on.
Overall, a great spot for a hearty meal if you’re craving Japanese hotpot and BBQ in Batam!
