If you hadn't told me this was Kotor Montenegro🇲🇪, I'd have thought it was the city of cats.
Because there are so many cats, and they're all so adorable!

So today I'd like to share a one-day travel plan.

🏰 Kotor, Montenegro Travel Plan – 1 Full Day

🌅 8:00 AM – Arrive in Kotor
If you're coming from Budva → Bus or car ~30–40 minutes
If you're coming from Dubrovnik (Croatia)
It takes about 2.5 hours, including immigration.
You can park or walk from the bus station to the Old Town.

☕ 9:00 AM – Stroll around Old Town Kotor.
The old town is so lovely, you can walk around it all in 1–2 hours.

🏔️ 11:00 AM – Climb Kotor Fortress (San Giovanni Castle)
This is the highlight of the city! The 1,350-step climb takes approximately 1.5–2 hours.
Entrance fee: €8 (summer).
The view from the top overlooks the entire Kotor Bay, breathtakingly beautiful. 💙

🍽️ 1:00 PM – Lunch Break

Recommended Restaurants:
• Restaurant Galion – Luxurious sea views
• Old Winery – Excellent local food and wine
• Cesarica – Fresh seafood at moderate prices

🌊 3:00 PM – Stroll along Kotor Bay
Walk from the Old Town to Kotor Marina. The mountain views reflected in the water are breathtaking.
Or, rent a speedboat for 1–2 hours to enjoy the view.

🍰 5:00 PM – Relax at a cafe/shop in the Old Town
• Recommended Restaurants: Monami Café, Bokun
• Souvenir Shopping: Handmade soaps, wine, and engraved coins

🌇 6:30 PM – Dinner with a bay view and sunset
If you have time, we recommend Galion or Tanjga Family.
Watching the sun set behind the mountains in Kotor Bay is absolutely stunning! 💫

🌙 8:00 PM – Stroll around the old town (at night)
• The old town is decorated with warm lights and has live music and a small bar.
• If you stay overnight, it's incredibly romantic.
