A favorite among the locals! Introducing "Gerai Makan Golden Beach Corner," a popular spot not listed in guidebooks and unknown to Japanese tourists!
⭐️Review
I visited on a Sunday just before 11 AM and already had to wait in line. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I finally got in and ordered Claypot Lao Shu Fen and Iced Limau after much deliberation.
The Lao Shu Fen (rat tail noodles) is served piping hot in a clay pot. The noodles are chewy and the rich sauce clings to them perfectly, making it delicious. By the way, the name comes from the fact that the ends of the noodles are thin like a rat's tail!
The minced meat with garlic on top adds a nice touch, and the overall flavor balance is excellent. The egg also gradually solidifies as you eat, and it tastes great when mixed with the noodles. 👍
The Iced Limau is just the right sweetness and is perfect for a hot day! It's a drink that matches well with the Lao Shu Fen, typical of a kopitiam!
The total was 13.8 RM. It's nice that there's no additional tax, making it a reasonable price. It's about 450 yen in Japanese currency.
It's understandable why it's so popular, as it's both affordable and delicious. I highly recommend this place for those who want to enjoy a Malaysian meal!
