Introducing Haichao Aquarium

Haichao Aquarium, China's first highland aquarium, is located on Shilin Street in the University Town of Chenggong District, Kunming, covering over 200 mu (approximately 8,000 square meters). Its architectural form is unique and magnificent, resembling a large blue conch nestled on a beach surrounded by lush trees and flowers. The aquarium boasts an advanced life support system using artificial seawater.

The new exhibition area - "Coral Garden and Jellyfish Secret Realm" is based on the principle of "educating students and maintaining the ecology". It cleverly arranges multiple themed display areas for tourists, including "Rainforest Wonders", "Arctic Precious Animal Penguin House", "Large Marine Performance Hall", "Diving Show", "Mermaid Show", "Youth Science Hall", "Children's Entertainment Hall", and "Ocean Theater".

The "Secret Realm of Jellyfish" exhibition area leads visitors through the future to the underwater laboratory of 2030, where thousands of life forms are nurtured, including more than ten species and more than a thousand individuals, including egg yolk jellyfish, Pacific sea jellyfish, purple sea jellyfish, black star sea jellyfish, colorful jellyfish, Amakusa jellyfish, and moon jellyfish.
