If you want to learn more about Malaysia, a visit to the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery is definitely rewarding. You can enter for free by registering with a QR code on-site. All handbags and luggage are not allowed in the exhibition area and can be stored in lockers behind the registration desk. If you feel it's not secure, you can use the paid storage lockers on the other side.
There are many exhibits inside, along with various facilities, such as printing banknotes. There are money-themed electronic games for children to play, and you can also role-play as a bank staff member, issuing withdrawal slips, etc.
There are a total of 3 floors of exhibition areas here, with highly interactive displays, both dynamic and static, such as BATIK art, the history of currency, and currencies from different countries, all presented before your eyes. There is also a children's play area where kids can design their own banknotes and print them on a screen for other visitors to see.
However, it is a bit of a walk from the LRT to the museum, so it is recommended to take a taxi. Although the journey is a bit longer, it is worth visiting with the whole family.
