Akiyoshidai, located in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is known as one of Japan's largest karst plateaus. It's a breathtaking spot, featuring expanses of otherworldly white limestone and green grasslands. ✨
A leisurely stroll through the natural scenery, which changes with the seasons, will leave you feeling refreshed. 🍃
When you visit, you'll find that walking through the grasslands with the breeze is incredibly refreshing, and the picturesque scenery is breathtaking no matter where you look!
There are also well-maintained hiking trails, making it a safe and enjoyable experience even for beginners.
Nearby, you'll also find limestone caves such as Akiyoshido and Taishodo, making this an area where you can fully enjoy nature for a whole day. 🦴
🚃Access: Take the bus from JR Shin-Yamaguchi Station for about 45 minutes, then get off at Akiyoshido, then walk for about 20 minutes.
🚗By car: Approximately 15 minutes from Mine IC on the Chugoku Expressway (parking available).
Enjoy a nature walk with your partner, or a solo trip to refresh your mind.
It was a place I'd love to return to again in the autumn when the pampas grass sways. 🍂
