Thean Hou Temple is a six-story temple dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu. Inside the temple, there are three deities: the Goddess of the Sea (Mazu), the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin), and the Hainan Goddess. You can pray for blessings according to your beliefs, whether it’s wealth, children, or health. The temple recommends using 4 incense sticks for worship.
Personally, I consider this temple to be one of the larger Chinese temples in Kuala Lumpur, and it is beautifully decorated inside. There aren’t many tourists inside the temple, so it remains quite peaceful. There is no strict dress code against wearing short clothes, but it’s best to dress modestly.
For transportation, you can easily and conveniently call a Grab. The price is reasonable.
