🍲 Haidilao Huo Guo @ Pavilion Bukit Jalil – Great Meal, But Service Fell Short

Had lunch here with some business associates and while the food lived up to Haidilao’s usual quality, the service didn’t quite meet the high standards I’ve come to expect from HDL.

We were seated quickly and the ingredients were fresh, as always — from the sliced meats to the soup bases and condiments, everything was spot-on. The hotpot experience itself was satisfying, and the variety made it easy to find something for everyone.

That said, the service felt a little off. It wasn’t bad, but compared to the usual HDL experience (where you’re almost pampered), this outlet was less attentive. We had to wave a few times to get staff attention, and they weren’t as proactive or engaging. Maybe just an off day or short on staff, but noticeable especially for a business lunch where details matter.

Still, can’t complain too much — food was great, and the location inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil made it very convenient. Just missing that extra hospitality HDL is known for.
