[Kuala Lumpur Travel] Kwai Fong Alley's unique murals 🎨 Century-old teahouse and specialty restaurant 🥢

Kwai Tsai Alley is a short but charming alleyway steeped in a time-honored atmosphere. Its characteristic murals depict the daily lives of early Chinese immigrants living in the alleyway in the 1960s. It's quite unique and a great spot for photo ops.

Near Kwai Tsai Alley are many century-old teahouses and specialty restaurants. The famous Ho Kau Hainanese Tea Shop is located just a short distance from the alleyway, but it was packed, and we didn't want to wait in line, so we gave up.

We opted for Yuan Chang Long Coffee Shop, which is also nearby. Its quaint interior is charming and flavorful. We ordered fried kway teow and shrimp paste noodles, which were perfectly seasoned—not too salty or bland, a unique flavor you'd find only in Malaysia. Delicious! Recommended for those who don't want to wait in line.
