π REXKL Review
I visited REXKL, one of Kuala Lumpur's hippest spots. ποΈβ¨ Originally an old theater, it was renovated into a multi-purpose cultural space. The moment I stepped inside, I felt a mix of vintage and modern sensibilities. The exterior retains the building's historic charm, while the interior is filled with cafes, bars, bookstores, and restaurants, making it a fun place to stroll around. ππΈ
The most impressive part was the bookstore. The tiered bookshelves and vintage vibe made it a great place to take photos, or simply sit and read or work on your laptop. ππ» The first floor featured cafes and food court-style shops, where I could enjoy a quick coffee or local fare. Many of the spaces transform into bars in the evening, offering a different kind of charm at night.
Art exhibitions and pop-up stores are scattered throughout the space, which is a plus, as there's always something new to see every time you visit. π¨β¨ However, it tends to get quite crowded on weekend evenings, so if you want a quieter experience, I recommend going on a weekday or early in the morning. Parking is available nearby, but limited, so public transportation is more convenient.
ππ» Overall, REXKL perfectly embodies the description "a multi-cultural space where local sensibilities and a modern hipster vibe coexist." Enjoy a leisurely day with cafes, books, and exhibitions, and a vibrant night with bars and music, making it a must-visit spot during your KL trip. ππ»βοΈ
