Amid the modern art installations and dazzling colours of the KL Park Festival 2025, one corner of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa stole my heart — the Kampung Vibes Garden. Just steps away from the lively festival grounds, this space transported visitors back to the charm of old Malay village life, where simplicity and serenity reigned.

A traditional Malay kampung house, raised on stilts and shaded by coconut palms, stood at the centre, its wooden panels glowing softly in the afternoon sun. Around it, chickens and goats wandered freely — a playful reminder of childhood days spent in the countryside. The air carried the aroma of pandan and lemongrass from nearby herb patches, while soft gamelan music drifted through the garden.
