A Hindu temple that suddenly appears in the middle of the city near Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur 🛕
The oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Admission is free, but you must take off your shoes before entering, and you pay 20 cents to leave your shoes there (about 6 yen).
The five-tiered gopuram (tower gate) above the entrance is very impressive, standing 22.9 meters tall and carved with 228 Hindu gods by South Indian craftsmen.
It depicts a passage from the Ramayana, one of the Hindu scriptures, and each god has a distinctive facial expression.
The gopuram is carved with many gods, including Shiva, the elephant-headed god Ganesha, Rama with a bow and arrow, and Saraswati with a stringed instrument like a biwa.
You should experience the mysterious space at least once.
