✨Driving about 1 hour from Kuala Lumpur to Kampung Kuantan (Kuala Selangor), after getting off the boat quietly sitting in a small boat, in the riverside mangroves to see the sky full of fireflies, the whole night flashed like a "mini starry sky"✨
💡 Must-know info:
• Fireflies are most active from 7:30–9:30pm, especially from 8:00 to a point at their peak ()
• Most tours are 4 people in a boat with an electric silent boat that will not interrupt the firefly flash
• Remember not to turn on the flash, strictly prohibited, so that they can fall in love with peace of mind ()
⸻
📸 My Highlight 🔥:
1. Take a boat ride by the river, the surroundings are so quiet you can hear the sound of water, and wait for the fireflies to slowly emerge.
2. Thousands of small fluorescent lights flashing together, with the magical feeling of “synchronized flashing” ().
3. There are tour packages that will add seafood dinner + Bukit Melawati and then see the free flight of long-tailed monkeys + ancient lighthouse, super enriching
⸻
🎒 Tips:
• Avoid full moons and rainy days, which will affect the appearance of fireflies
• Cheaper off-season, less crowded on weekdays
• Remember to spray mosquito repellent + wear rubber-soled shoes
