The Kaohsiung Cijin Shell Museum is located on the 2nd floor of the Cijin Coast Park Administrative Center and was established on September 11, 2000. The area of the Shell Museum is actually not very large, about 60 square meters. The collection of shells in the museum is the largest in the country, with more than 2,000 species. The most valuable treasure in the museum is the giant giant clam, which is known as the "Rose of the Sea" and the "King of Shells". The Shell Museum is a very good parent-child education venue, where we can learn how shells are formed and grow. It also reminds us humans to cherish the earth's resources and not destroy the environment at will so that we can continue to reproduce. The Shell Museum charges an entrance fee of 30 yuan for full ticket and 15 yuan for half ticket, which is very reasonable. If you travel to Cijin, don't miss this attraction.
