If you want to enjoy the autumn in Dandong, you must go to Tianqiaogou, where the forests are colorful and beautiful.

It’s time to see the maple leaves 🍁 again. This time I went to Dandong Tianqiaogou National Forest Park, which is known as the "Little Lushan Mountain in Liaodong".
📍Address: Liming Village, Shuangshanzi Town, Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City
🚘Transportation: It takes more than 2 hours to drive from Dandong to Tianqiaogou Scenic Spot
🅿️Parking: 10 yuan for entry to the internal parking lot, no time limit
🎫Tickets: Online ticket purchase 99, ticket + glass plank road 119
It is more expensive to buy tickets on site (you need to buy tickets online 2 hours in advance, otherwise you will not be able to enter the scenic spot within 2 hours)

👉🏻Itinerary guide: The whole journey is 12km. You can buy a sightseeing bus directly at the entrance of the scenic area to go directly to the top of the mountain💰50/person

The first stop is Quntu 🐫feng: the sightseeing bus will stop for five minutes for tourists to take photos
According to the time, looking into the distance, there is a camel-like hump standing among the peaks and mountains, forming a unique landscape.

The second stop is Xiaoyue Peak: You can get up early to watch the sunrise. It is recommended to stay in a villa or homestay outside the scenic area the day before to watch the sunrise.
The stairs to the top are quite steep and narrow, so you need to climb carefully. I am afraid of heights, so I didn't go up. It is said that the panoramic view from the top is very beautiful.

The third stop is optional: We chose the section of the wooden plank road when going down the mountain, which is 5 km away from the gate of the scenic area, so we have enough time.

Personally, I think this section should be the most beautiful part of the scenic area, passing by more than 20 attractions including the Magpie Bridge, the Glass Skybridge, the Skybridge Buddha, the Maple Leaf Park, and the Longevity Spring. The entire plank road was built along the mountain stream, crossing the dense forest, undulating and winding, passing through the colorful forest, with red leaves all along the way.

There are also explorations of the Tiangong, Lotus Peak, Yuquan Peak + Anti-Japanese Alliance Trail, Glass Plank Road, etc. However, as we had to return on the same day and time was tight, we simply skipped these places and hurried back after walking down the plank road.

Best time to enjoy the maple leaves: early October
📌Tips: It is quite cool inside the mountain, so you need to wear a coat, non-slip shoes, and bring trekking poles. There are no food stalls, so you need to bring your own food and water. There are snack stalls when you are almost at the gate when you go down the mountain.

Maple leaves are everywhere, and the red maple leaves "burn" the mountains and fields red; on one tree, you can see orange, orange, green and other colors of maple leaves coexisting, which is amazing
