Located in Kuching, the Sarawak Islamic Heritage Museum offers an immersive exploration of Islamic civilization across seven thematic galleries. Notably, the Science, Technology, Economy, Education, and Literature Gallery showcases astrolabes—ancient instruments pivotal in Islamic astronomy and navigation—highlighting the scientific advancements of Muslim scholars.

This gallery also features rare manuscripts and exquisite Islamic calligraphy, reflecting the rich literary traditions of the Muslim world. Housed in a historic 1930 building originally known as Madrasah Melayu Sarawak, the museum provides a comprehensive insight into the Islamic heritage of Sarawak and the broader Malay-Indonesian archipelago.
