📍 Must-Visit Spots:
**Marine World Uminonakamichi (Fukuoka):**
[○] Perfect for a light getaway—summer water fun + sprawling park relaxation.

**Kumamoto:**
[○] A key transit hub with low urban density. Attractions are optional; ideal as a stopover.

**Aso Volcano + Kusasenri:**
[○] Worth half a day for hiking, unwinding, and enjoying set-meal beef + Aso milk ice cream—super chill.

**Beppu:**
[○] Home to the "Seven Hells" hot springs. Loved this laid-back city—great for leisurely city walks. Top recommendation: **Beppu Suginoi Hotel**, a natural hot spring family resort (the gold standard!). Massive and fun enough to spend a whole day without leaving.

**Yufuin:**
[○] Missed it this time, but it’s en route from Beppu to Fukuoka. A Ghibli-esque town where you can pet owls!

**Final Highlight: Fukuoka Shopping!!!**
Only allocated 1.5 days for shopping—**LaLaport is a must**. Great value for money (even with Shanghai currency 😉), fantastic experience, and super attentive staff. Don’t skip it!
