Staying at Kunming Dilianya Hotel, check out the real-life "Nezha Conquers the Sea"!
Hey guys, when visiting Kunming and staying at Dilianya Hotel, don't miss the super popular Kunming Nezha Wall!🚀 From the hotel, whether by taxi or public transport, it's super convenient to reach this Chinese animation-themed destination.
📍Easy to locate
The Kunming Nezha Wall is located next to the Xilin Community Party Service Center on Qingyun Street, Panlong District. Just navigate directly and you'll arrive precisely. The moment you step out, you'll be instantly struck by the overwhelming Chinese animation vibe!
🎨A visual feast
The entire mural covers over 200 square meters, consisting of 6 themed walls with different styles, the longest being 20 meters. The colors are vibrant and the composition is incredibly dynamic. The mischievous Nezha rides his Wind Fire Wheels, accompanied by the gentle Ao Bing, and there's even a hilarious scene of Taiyi Zhenren and Shen Gongbao fighting over "small pot rice noodles" (a clever incorporation of Yunnan's local specialty). Classic scenes from the movie are vividly recreated, with every detail meticulously handled, making the characters so lifelike they seem ready to jump out of the wall any second.
📸Perfect for photos
For outfits, traditional Chinese styles like Hanfu or Tang suits are highly recommended, creating a full aesthetic when posing with the mural. Imitate Nezha's classic poses, holding the "Fire-tipped Spear" or stepping on the "Wind Fire Wheels" for creative shots. For angles, low-angle shots make legs look longer, while high-angle shots can capture both the mural and yourself in the frame.
👫Thoughtful amenities nearby
The community has arranged volunteers for traffic control and even applied waterproof paint to the mural to extend its "lifespan." Dedicated parking for non-motorized vehicles is available, making it very user-friendly.
❗Tips
1. Weekends can get crowded, so consider visiting on weekdays for uninterrupted photo sessions without queues.
2. Plan your route in advance; parking might be tight on weekends if driving.
3. Besides the Nezha Wall, nearby attractions include the Shibao Garden Poppy Flower Field, Yuanbo Impression Flower & Bird Market, and Tanhua Temple Park, perfect for a side trip.
Dilianya Hotel has become my perfect "travel base"—so comfortable I didn't want to check out!
First, the location is convenience personified—just steps away from Wuyue Plaza, with milk tea shops and Yunnan restaurants right downstairs, where you can grab fresh flower cakes anytime. A 10-minute walk to the subway makes trips to Dianchi Lake to see red-billed gulls or Cuihu Park a breeze. Before heading back to the hotel at night, swing by Zhuanxin Farmers' Market for some cold rice noodles as a midnight snack—foodies will be thrilled.
The hotel's "Spring City details" are heartwarming: the cherry blossom tree installation in the lobby is always a photo spot, and the staircase railings are adorned with faux bougainvillea, as if bringing Kunming's spring indoors. My Dianchi Lake view room was even more amazing—drawing the curtains in the morning revealed mist rising from the lake, while the bedside mural featured hand-painted fishing boats on Dianchi. Even the bathrobes were embroidered with small camellias, giving me the feeling of "settling down in Kunming."
The service is impeccable: at check-in, the front desk provided a local map marking "must-try small pot rice noodles" and "hidden flower-viewing spots." The in-room capsule coffee machine uses Yunnan small-grain beans, filling the room with aroma every morning. One rainy day, the housekeeping staff even left an umbrella at the door—with a tiny jacaranda charm attached—winning over this detail-obsessed guest.
For nearby activities, just follow the hotel's recommendations: a 20-minute taxi ride to Haigeng Dam to feed seagulls, then stop by Yunfang Cultural Creative Park for retro photos, and end the day with a mushroom hotpot at Wuyue Plaza (the hotel can even help with discount vouchers). Half the joy of this Kunming trip came from this "comfortable and convenient" hotel—I’ll definitely stay here again next time!
Guys, hurry to the Nezha Wall near Kunming Dilianya Hotel, experience the magic where Chinese animation meets reality, and snap some ultra-cool photos!
