An Oil Painting Wonderland in the Dawn Redwood Forest

This trip to Kunming was truly healing! In just two days, I checked in at the dreamy Dawn Redwood Wetland and a French vintage-style hotel, and every photo I took looked like a masterpiece 🌲

【Day 1: Lost in the Red Dawn Redwood Forest】

You must visit this waterside forest in autumn! From November to January each year, the redwood forest looks like a spilled palette, with warm orange reflections on the lake. It’s also seagull season recently, so you can bring small bread pieces to feed these white little angels (they’ll fly right into your palm!). It’s best to come around 3 or 4 PM when the sunlight filters through the trees, creating a super dreamy light and shadow effect ✨

【Day 2: Stay in an Art Space】

The moment you enter, you’ll be struck by the French minimalist style! The lobby’s spiral staircase is perfect for photos, and the room even has a washer and dryer (a lifesaver for long trips). I love their attention to detail, from the warm towel at the door to the earplugs by the bedside, everything is thoughtfully prepared. The location is also great, just a 5-minute walk to Nanping Street, and you can visit the creative park market next door at night~

- Jianxinyuan Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles, a 3-minute walk away (a time-honored brand with super fresh broth)
- Yunping Flavor Garden in the alley opposite the hotel (recommended: fresh milk rice pudding and canned stinky tofu)

Tips:
1️⃣ Wear light-colored clothes at the wetland for better contrast with the redwoods in photos
2️⃣ The bathtub at Anshe is perfect for soaking; remember to bring flower petals and bath bombs
3️⃣ Kunming has strong UV rays, so apply sunscreen even in winter!
