Authentic natural hot spring experience

Qicai gudian hot springs are located on the eastern side of Dianchi lake about 40 minutes drive south of downtown kunming. It costs 250RMB to enter the hot springs and get their buffet dinner.

The hot springs were spectacular, there are about 30 different pools to try, some of which are larger swimming type pools but most are small bathing pools. There is a huge variety, some are hotter, some have jacuzzi jets and massaging water streams, some are pools of different types of tea such as oolong and jasmine teas, one pool even has small fish that eat the skin from your feet.

My personal favourite were the tea pools, the green, orange and red colouring was super cool and you could smell the tea in the water, im not sure of the purported health effects of this but i felt very relaxed afterwards. I didnt edit the colours of the pools at all those are the 100% accurate colours.

The buffet dinner was very good too, they had a huge choice of foods, meats, seafoods, fruits and vegetables, many drinks and almost anything you could think of. We had a great dinner there and then bathed in some more hot spring pools afterwards. It was an amazing and relaxing day and i would recommend it to anyone visiting Kunming.
