Encountering Oriental Aesthetics | It is a scroll of Jiangnan poetry in the city

Thanks to the card collection activity of the InterContinental Group, I have expanded my travel map once again. This time, I checked in at Huayi Hotel in Huachiao, located at the border of Suzhou and Shanghai. The hotel is situated on one side of the lake in Central Park, Kunshan, and shares a twin tower with the Holiday Inn Suites owned by the same proprietor.
The Huayi brand adheres to a new Chinese aesthetic, which is consistently reflected from the moment you step into the hotel. The central lounge area in the lobby resembles a classical Suzhou garden, with stacked water bridges and palace lanterns with green plants. The screens in the reception area and elevator hall feature freehand landscape and flower-and-bird paintings. Additionally, there are various oriental-themed decorations and ornaments everywhere.
Special thanks to Dora, the guest relations manager of the hotel, for her professional and meticulous service. She contacted me and arranged everything before my stay. The room's decoration standard is the best among all the Huayi hotels I have stayed in. I believe it is more than sufficient to be branded as an InterContinental. The hardware is also top-notch, fully showcasing the owner's strong capabilities. Everything is high-end, even the guest bathroom has an electric toilet, which is worth praising and boasting about in any hotel.
The room's decoration style is mainly warm wood tones and patterned marble, accented with dark green fabrics and orange lighting. Large ink screens and sliding doors, wooden hollow partitions, and hanging iron frames create a perspective effect, evoking the misty and rainy ambiance of Jiangnan. The mirror with begonia flowers, iron art welcoming pine, various porcelain ornaments, white porcelain hollow stools, coasters printed with ancient poems, a complete set of white porcelain tea sets, etc., all convey the calm and elegant traditional Chinese aesthetics.
