☕ A cup of coffee in a quiet alley – Kurashiki 1971 Coffee
📍 Kurashiki 1971 Coffee – A charming café in the Kurashiki Bikan District
🏡 A café where tradition and modernity meet
At the end of a quiet alley in the Kurashiki Bikan District, I discovered a café nestled inside a traditional building with wood and plaster walls.
It was "Kurashiki 1971 Coffee" – the exterior resembles a traditional house, while the interior boasts a stylish, minimalist interior.
The moment I opened the door, the tranquil, warm atmosphere calmed my mind.
☕ How does the coffee taste? A cup that truly expresses the heart.
We ordered:
Hand-drip blended coffee
Cafe latte (impressive with the smooth, rich milk foam)
Homemade Basque cheesecake
The coffee has a perfectly balanced acidity and body, a quality that evokes the words "good coffee." The cake had a rich, rich flavor that paired perfectly with the coffee. The dessert quality was also quite high.
🪑 The Emotional Space
Outside the window, you can see quiet alleys and traditional houses.
A soothing jazz atmosphere.
A relaxing space that makes you want to linger.
People working on their laptops, tourists, and locals were all quietly enjoying their coffee.

💬 Overall Review
This was the most memorable moment of relaxation during my Kurashiki trip.
The care put into each and every cup of coffee was evident, and the space itself was a relaxing, warm, and healing space. After strolling the alleys of Bikan Historical Quarter, take a relaxing break at this cafe. It'll change the course of your trip.
