A must-have! Winter limited steam train🚂only runs for two months a year

I tried riding the Steam Locomotive Winter Wetlands, which is operated by JR Hokkaido only in winter. This time, the route was from Shibecha to Kushiro. On this route, the train runs in the opposite direction. This makes it look a bit awkward, but it's comfortable.
I was able to ride in the Tancho Car, which was recently renovated. This car has a counter and you can see the marshland from the large window. The other cars are basically box seats, so this is a special seat that is only available in this car.
There is a shop inside the car, selling drinks, food, and other souvenir goods. It is very popular, so some items are sold out before departure.
Some cars have coal stoves and toilets, so I was able to spend a comfortable time.
Trains that go through the marshes are often seen from the outside, but it was a wonderful experience to ride inside and see them. With the guidance of a nature guide inside, I was able to spot some wild animals.
This is a winter-only train that is extremely popular both domestically and internationally, so it may be difficult to get a seat, but please give it a try.
