Another corner of Kyoto where you can walk around the most is the Gion area. If you have seen the movie The Memories of Geisha, you will probably like and be in this area a lot. Especially if you come during the cherry blossom season, it will be even more awesome. The weather is nice now. You can walk around Gion and then walk along the Kamo River. Let me tell you, the atmosphere in the evening is really nice. :)
